A range of business support options have been developed and can be applied to develop small businesses. However, key benchmarks need to be applied in order for such support to be effective. Business development services are important because they can assist entrepreneurs to run their business more effectively and, if appropriately applied, can act as an enhancer of access to finance and as an alternative form of “collateral” in circumstances where tangible collateral may be an impediment to meeting traditional security requirements.
In general, however, there is a range of obstacles facing entrepreneurs needing support. Rural areas, for example, are very under resourced and serviced. Reel Tek Consulting Limited has over the years engaged in providing support, direction and guide towards actualizing company goals and objectives.
Many women entrepreneurs have expanded and are making sustainable profits based on our continuous coaching and mentorship programs. Our recent engagement with Bank of Industry, under the Business Resilience Assistance for Value-Added Enterprises (BRAVE) Women Program is another experience we like to share. The BRAVE Women project has Islamic Development Bank Group (IsDBG) as one of the Implementing Partners (IPs) to support in the implementation of projects. We are on of the consultants engaged to support women led businesses in Kano, Edo and Gombe states. This will possibly be extended to Abuja and Lagos in 2023.
